What types of materials do you use?
Each piece is carefully described; we use brass, silver, gold, shells, glass beads, semi-precious stones, coconut, wool, vinyl, cotton and more.

ChicCosas takes great care to use only jewelry components that are guaranteed by the suppliers to not be damaging to the earth. For example our bone beads and pendants are from fallen animals (not killed to get the bone), coconut that has had up to 90% of its material used to make other things such as oil, and coral from non-endangered reefs. Even some of the glass is reclaimed, and we do our best to use the minimum amount of Silver necessary for each piece. Even fine silver slivers are collected and recycled in our studio!

We ship from Silicon Valley USA and sell our wares on this internet site, on consignment at La Bussola in Reno, NV and in the past have sold at Cut + Paste and other web-business own by independent Chicas.
